Our story
HugSend was born from a simple observation: sending money to loved ones across borders felt cold and transactional. A bank transfer to your mum shouldn’t feel like paying a bill.
We set out to build something different — a messenger that wraps every payment in warmth. Add a photo, a voice note, a sticker. Make it feel like you’re there, even when you’re thousands of miles away.
Today, HugSend powers Hugs across 100+ countries, from birthday surprises in Lagos to weekly Susu circles in Accra, from marketplace purchases in Nairobi to junior allowances in Toronto. Every feature we build starts with one question: does this bring people closer?
